We're moving to Lucerne after the Swiss Pilatus cable car tour.
I stopped by to see the lion statue of moribund death.
The statue of a moribund lion is a memorial to Swiss mercenaries during the French Revolution.
Looking at the lion statue, I was impressed by their sacrifice and suffering, their courageous death and their own death, and how they kept their trust with France to the end.
During the French Revolution, when the revolutionary forces surrounded the palace, it was said that 700 Swiss mercenaries, not French soldiers, who protected the king and queen. This experience reminded me once again how important trust is.
And now we're off to the Lucerne Capel Bridge!
